Privacy policy

This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. It is written to be read. Last updated 19 October 2026.

Who we are

Bookanoo Ltd, trading as BahamasBooking.com, operates this website. Our registered address is 3 Bayside Executive Park, West Bay Street & Blake Road, N-4875, Nassau, The Bahamas. You can contact us at hi@bahamasbooking.com. Any appointed data protection contact will be published here before the site accepts payments.

What we collect

When you send a trip request we collect what you type into the form: your name, email address, optional phone number, travel dates, group size, the islands and services you are interested in and your message. We also record the time of the request and a one-way hash of your network address, which we use only to limit abuse of the form.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages help travellers and how the site is used. It is configured with Google Consent Mode: no analytics cookies are set unless you choose “Accept analytics” in the banner, and you can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. If you decline, Google may still receive cookieless, aggregated signals that cannot identify you. Data collected by Google Analytics is processed by Google under its own terms; see Google’s privacy policy for details. We do not run advertising trackers and do not use analytics data for advertising.

The only other storage we use is a small local record of your cookie choice and, if you send a request, the form details described above. We do not set cookies for logins or personalisation in this phase.

How we use it

To answer your request, to check availability with suppliers and to send you the options. We may follow up by email about the same request. We do not sell your information and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking.

Who we share it with

To check availability we share the details that a supplier needs, typically your dates, group size and requirements. We share your name and contact details with a supplier only when you ask us to put you in touch or when it is necessary to hold or confirm a booking. Suppliers are independent businesses with their own privacy practices.

Our website is hosted on servers provided by Vultr and delivered through Cloudflare. Requests are stored in a database on our server and, where configured, forwarded to our email or booking system; the providers involved process data on our behalf.

How long we keep it

Request details are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and for up to 24 months afterwards so we can help with follow-up trips, after which they are deleted. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to our use of it. Email hi@bahamasbooking.com. The Bahamas Data Protection (Privacy of Personal Information) Act applies to our processing; if you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom you also have rights under GDPR, which we honour.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and note the date at the top.
